We were doing like large online banking bill payment kinds of things. And businessarchitecture kind of a nebulous term, but how do you form teams? So what I have to think about is what are the organization’s mechanisms for adapting, not just requirements, but adapting the businessarchitecture?
And I was talking to this business advisor I have and I was telling him about this idea and he goes, this guy’s like 65. He ran a company of about 1400 people, does private equity and investment banking and all this really interesting stuff. And he’s like, that’s super insightful. And I went, oh, okay.
I grew up in financial services, so it can’t be off by a penny who wants their bank account to be randomly decremented by pennies or dollars or more. So some of the things that we’re going to explore are ideas like businessarchitecture, business capability modeling. So it has to be right. Great idea.
So I don’t care if you use Scrum to do that, but it wasn’t giving us the business benefits that we want. I want to make sure that we have money in the bank and that we can pay our bills and that everybody’s getting an education. We want to manage those dependencies until we can break them.
