For the past 20+ years, I have worked with small and large organizations seeking more business agility. Becoming more Agile for large, well-established businesses is more than just a change for the IT organization; it has wide, sweeping implications. I’ve seen change initiatives go poorly.
The core of changemanagement is helping an organization prepare, support, and apply changes to an organization. In execution during an Agile Transformation, it looks different depending on how the organization is going about this change. Yes, deciding on the new structure, governance, and metrics is crucial.
I don’t spend a bunch of time on LinkedIn, but the other day, I was scrolling around and happened to catch a thread where some folks in the Agile community were debating if SAFe was actually Agile. In short, it really comes down to what you mean by Agile and Agility. One of the original signatories of the Agile Manifesto.
