At the beginning of 2013, evaluations were based on 37 criteria, each considered to be a key indicator of organizational health. We could spend hours exploring why agility is so hard to achieve. Decision-makers may have reports to work with, but they can do little if anything to actually improve agility or outcomes.
I am frequently asked about the best books for learning about agile and Scrum. I have nearly 100 books on agile-related topics and there are so many new agile books published every year that it is difficult to keep up! Among those “words” that I have read are numerous statements that Agile techniques, and the Scrum framework in particular, could be used outside the world of software development. While I always found this argument believable, I saw very few references to attempts to employ Scrum anywhere but in software development.
