Because Discoverer has been non-strategic since 2006, it’s a challenge for IT to successfully write reports. OBIEE is not transactional and it’s difficult to drill down to the little details, thus requiring a data dump into Excel. It is also less dynamic and agile than Discoverer and cannot easily alter reports.
